College of Education

The Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe College of Education

Your teaching career starts here, in the Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe College of Education at New Jersey City University. We welcome traditional and non-traditional students—those who are new to teaching and those who are looking to advance their careers and enhance their skills through one of our programs. We have a longstanding tradition of preparing distinguished educators for our community, our country, and our world.

NJCU’s location in the heart of an urban metropolis shapes our commitment to addressing the needs of students in the contemporary urban, multicultural and multilingual classroom. We are committed to the belief that education is transformative and empowering and that social justice can be best accomplished through an educated citizenry.

We offer numerous undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs that provide an excellent student experience that values the diverse backgrounds and learning styles of our students. Our Center of Teacher Preparation and Partnerships ensures our teacher candidates can put their education to practice through urban internship opportunities.

College of Education faculty members are experienced educators who are committed to training the next generation of teachers.  They create a supportive learning environment where the first priority is helping students succeed.
